Kenozole 2 % Shampoo is an anti-fungal medicine used to treat and prevent dandruff and dry greasy scaling of the scalp (seborrhoeic dermatitis).
It is also used to treat pityriasis (tinea versicolor). This medicine is not recommended for use in patients less than 12 years of age.
Does Kenozole Dry Out Hair?
Not at all. On the contrary, it left my husband’s dry hair soft and manageable even without a conditioner.
Although, i do recommend using a hydrating DIY hair mask(Warm oil, Egg, Yogurt) once a week to nourish your hair and scalp.
And by the way, Hubby used this shampoo to treat dandruff and boils on his scalp. I haven’t heard any complaints yet, so i guess its doing its job just fine. You can read my experience below.

Dandruff
This medicine is used to treat and prevent dandruff, characterised by symptoms such as itchy and flaking skin of the scalp, etc.
Seborrheic Dermatitis (Fungal skin infection)
This medicine is used in the treatment of seborrheic dermatitis, which is a skin condition that affects the scalp; characterised by red scaly patches and dandruff.
Tinea Versicolor
This medicine is used in the treatment of tinea versicolor, a common fungal infection which is characterized by small discolored patches on the skin.
MY EXPERIENCE
Problem – Itchy scalp with mild dandruff
I bought this shampoo because it contains both ketoconazole, an anti-fungal and zinc pyrithione, a fungistatic which also soothes itchy scalp and inflammation.
Also, my usual anti-dandruff shampoo Scalpe Plus(Reviewed Here) was out of stock on most online pharmacy websites.
I have had a pretty good experience with the brand ‘Brinton’. I have used their AcMist gel moisturiser (Reviewed Here) and also UV Doux Sunscreen SPF50+++(Reviewed Here).
RESULTS
Does This Shampoo Work Effectively?
In one word, YES.
Kenozole reduced scalp itching in a single use.The symptoms reduced by 90% which is a huge relief for me.
After 2 weeks, i did not see any dandruff flakes any more and my scalp was calm. I did continue using the shampoo twice a week for one month to completely get rid of any fungal infection.
My hair fall stopped after i threw out all Parabens/SLS products in the cabinet. Now i use fermented rice water and shikakai shampoo along with ACV conditioner. It does look like this routine is the most suited one for my hair.
Keep It Simple.
How To Use Kenozole Shampoo?
I did not use the shampoo as per the directions. Once i lather the shampoo, leave it on for about 4-5 minutes and then rinse off.
Doing this way seems to be working just fine for me.

Yes, go for it.
Kenozole is a good shampoo to treat fungal infections and related hair loss.
I do not have complaints against this anti dandruff shampoo. It does fulfil all its claims.
