Hello, beautiful people! Today, I’m excited to review a Korean sunscreen from Benton. Finding the ideal sunscreen in the skincare world can be a challenge. It’s not just about sun protection; it’s also about the texture, finish, and how it suits your skin. In this review, we’ll look closely at the Benton sunscreen. It not only promises to protect your skin from UV rays but also offers a unique skincare experience. Let’s dive in and explore its texture, effectiveness, and any unexpected qualities it might have.

CONSISTENCY & FINISH : The Benton UV defense sun cream has a creamy texture with a light green colour, making it easy to apply smoothly. What I appreciate is that the Benton sunscreen gets absorbed quickly without leaving any sticky residue behind. It provides a dewy finish that’s not overly shiny, which works well for my normal skin.
FRAGRANCE: The sunscreen has a noticeable rosemary essential scent, which might not be everyone’s cup of tea. However, I personally found it surprisingly pleasant, as it’s a subtle and enjoyable scent.
PERFORMANCE : This sunscreen may look green, but it goes on clear, leaving no noticeable trace. What makes it unique is the delightful cooling sensation it offers. It does not leave a white cast, isn’t sticky, and doesn’t irritate my eyes. It does help effectively maintain skin hydration without causing peeling.
This sunscreen provides effective protection for my skin, as I didn’t notice any tanning. It is essential to keep in mind that it’s not sweat or water-resistant, so it’s not ideal for activities like going to the beach or outdoor adventures.
BREAKOUTS OR SKIN IRRITATIONS : While it did not cause any breakouts, I did experience a not so slight stinging sensation, particularly around my nose and upper lip, which reminded me of another sunscreen I’ve tried, Beauty of Joseon, with similar issues. It seems the essential oil in this sunscreen can be irritating, especially for sensitive skin.
If I had noticed the presence of rosemary essential oil in the ingredients list, to be honest, I might have skipped this sunscreen.🤷♀️However, I’m relieved to find that it didn’t cause any significant reactions on my skin, such as redness, rashes or soreness. Well, that concludes my Benton sunscreen review guys.
PROS
No controversial UV filters hence, Pregnancy safe
Light weight
Creamy texture
Easy to apply
Gets absorbed quickly
Has a cooling sensation
No white cast on brown skin
Dewy finish
Did not cause breakouts
CONS
Contains rosemary essential oil
Stinging sensation on my sensitive skin because of the EO
Rosemary scent may not suit everyone
Not waterproof or sweatproof (Not really a con)
SUMMING UP…
The sunscreen offers unique benefits like a refreshing feel and effective moisturization. However, it may not be the best choice for individuals with sensitive skin due to potential irritation, and the scent may not appeal to everyone. While it’s worth considering, I would recommend conducting a patch test for sensitive skin or opting for unscented products if you have fragrance concerns.
RATING – 3.5/5 | WNRP😣
