Isntree Hyaluronic Acid Airy Sun Stick Review – Hey Beauties, Gather ’round for the most exciting sunscreen review of the year or at least this week. Today, I will be discussing the Isntree sunscreen stick, the product that’s about to change the game for all us lazy sunscreen re-appliers out there.
One of the challenges I often face is the inconvenience of reapplying sunscreen throughout the day, as my sensitive skin tends to become flushed and warm with each application. That’s why I was drawn to the sun stick – it offers the ultimate in convenience and ease.
I find the concept of sun sticks to be incredibly practical and time-saving, making them the perfect solution for on-the-go touch-ups.
I also like to start my day off with either the Isntree watery sun gel(Reviewed Here) or the Beauty of Joseon sunscreen(Reviewed Here) , because let’s be real, you can never have too much protection from those evil UV rays. And the best part? Both of these options are gentle on my skin and provide hydration without leaving behind a white cast. Check out my Instagram post/reel at the end of this article for a swatch and finish comparison!
ARE SUNSCREEN STICKS EFFECTIVE?
Sunscreen sticks when applied correctly gives you the exact same sun protection as that of a cream or gel sunscreen.
Swipe the sun stick 3 times to get complete sun protection and swipe once when reapplying.
DOES SUNSCREEN STICKS CAUSE ACNE?
Well, like any other sunscreens in the market, This certainly depends on the ingredients in it. Sunscreens sticks are preferable for acne prone skin since they are super light weight and in most cases do not cause or aggravate existing acne.
HOW DO YOU CLEAN A SUN STICK?
After swiping the sun stick, wipe it with a tissue to keep it clean to prevent any kind of microbial growth and thus, breakouts.
HOW DO YOU USE ISNTREE SUN STICKS?
If you are relying solely on this for sun protection, swipe 3 times to cover the area and swipe just once on reapplication.
Apply 30 minutes before sun exposure and reapply every 2-3 hours.
IS ISNTREE SUNSCREEN WATERPROOF?
Unfortunately, no.
As of now, Isntree has yet to come out with their water resistant range of sunscreens.
IS ISNTREE SUN STICK GOOD FOR OILY SKIN?
The stick sunscreen is suitable for all skin types. I have yet to read a negative review about this one But, do note that this sunscreen contains OMC, Homosalate and fungal acne triggers like Olive fruit oil.

MY EXPERIENCE
Skin Type – Normal Sensitive
Upon first encountering the Isntree sunscreen stick, I must admit that my expectations were not particularly high. However, as I began to use this product, I found myself pleasantly surprised by the convenience it affords in the process of reapplying sunscreen.
The stick format of this product indeed enables one to save a significant amount of time in comparison to traditional methods of reapplication. Though I still prefer to utilize the brand’s gel sunscreen for my initial application in the morning, this stick format has proven to be a valuable addition to my sun protection arsenal.
The compact, tear-shaped design of the stick allows for better coverage, as it is easier to reach the nooks and crannies of one’s face. Upon gliding the stick across my face on three separate occasions, I found it to be smooth in its application, leaving no greasy residue in its wake. Additionally, the lightweight nature of the stick makes it barely noticeable upon application, allowing the skin to continue to breathe comfortably.
Furthermore, this sunscreen stick offers additional benefits such as soothing, brightening and anti-aging properties, all the while providing complete sun protection. The finish is velvety matte, which is most satisfactory, though on occasion, it does appear powdery, particularly upon the third reapplication.
I must also commend the Isntree sunscreen stick for its gentle nature, as it neither stung my eyes nor caused them to water.
IS THERE A WHITE CAST?
Isntree sunscreen stick will suit all skin tones as it leaves ZERO white cast behind. Happy Dance💃💃💃
BREAKOUTS | SKIN IRRITATION
Although the Isntree sunscreen stick contains OMC(Ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate) as one of its UV filters, I did not experience any itchiness or burning sensation while using this sunscreen. The brand itself claims the product to be hypoallergic so you can certainly give this a try. Then again, if you are allergic to OMC, please do skip this sunscreen.
I did not get even a single pimple after using it. But, it is not fungal acne safe so be mindful of that and never forget to double cleanse your skin before bed.
PROBLEMS?
1. Isntree sunscreen contains Homosalate which affects the hormone system(endocrine disruptor) and OMC, another controversial ingredient.
2. When reapplying the sunscreen stick, it moves my makeup ever so slightly.
3. After the 3rd reapplication, my skin feels a little bit tight and dry, I could also see the peeling areas from retinol which is otherwise not noticeable.
