COLOUR AND FRAGRANCE

The gel has a pale blue to it. It does look nice but i am not a big fan of artificial colours.

It does have a fragrance that is mild BUT, it does linger for a quite some time. Maybe that’s just me being sensitive.

ponds gel moisturiser ingredients list

Ponds Light Moisturiser Ingredients

Ponds light moisturising gel is a weird mix of good anti-ageing and brightening ingredients and also, bad comedogenic and allergy causing ingredients. 🙁

The Good Ingredients

  1. Niacinamide helps brighten  your skin and provides anti ageing benefits
  2. Butylene glycol and glycerine helps moisturise even dry skin.

The Bad Ingredients

  1. Contains allergens that may cause itching, redness and bumpy skin –
Linalool, Citronellol, Hexyl Cinnamal, Limonene, Citral, Geraniol
  2. This gel does contain silicones.
  3. Stearic acid is known to trigger fungal acne and hence is bad for oily skin.

Those who have sensitive skin should be careful and do a patch test first.

Is Ponds Super Light Gel Good For Dry Skin?

This gel contains Hyaluronic acid, Butylene glycol and Glycerine, all of which helps to hydrate even dry skin.

But in reality, it barely moisturises my normal skin so i do not think this alone would remotely be enough to hydrate dry skin or even mature skin.

When the skin is dry, it may feel tight and stretchy. And, too much dryness an cause itching too. So dry skin beauties can try their Ponds Light Moisturiser which has a thicker and creamier consistency.
