The gel has a pale blue hue to it. It does look nice but i am not a big fan of artificial colours.
It does have a mild but pleasant fragrance.

Ponds Light Moisturiser Ingredients
Ponds light moisturising gel is a weird mix of good anti-ageing and brightening ingredients and also, bad comedogenic and allergy causing ingredients. 🙁
The Good Ingredients
- Niacinamide helps brighten your skin and provides anti ageing benefits
- Butylene glycol and glycerine helps moisturise your skin
- Vitamin E is an antioxidant that helps delay the signs of ageing while also, hydrating your skin.
The Bad Ingredients
- Contains allergens that may cause irritation on sensitive skin
- This gel does contain silicones.
- Stearic acid is known to trigger fungal acne.
Those who have sensitive skin should be careful and do a patch test first.
Is Ponds Gel Moisturizer Good For Oily Skin?
Those with oily skin can use this gel BUT, i would not recommend it for sensitive skin types.
Is Ponds Gel Moisturizer Paraben Free?
Yes, Ponds light gel moisturiser is free from parabens.
It uses EWG recommended safe preservatives as an alternative.
Is Ponds Gel Moisturiser Oil Free?
Yes, Ponds gel is oil free and hence, can be used for hydrating oily skin.
Is Ponds Super Light Gel Non Comedogenic?
Unfortunately it is not, Ponds super light gel does have stearic acid in it which may trigger fungal acne.
Although most cosmetic formulations have stearic acid in them, it is better to do a patch test in one particular area before using it on your whole face.
Is Ponds Super Light Gel Good For Sensitive Skin?
Not at all, Stay away from this product.
Is Ponds Super Light Gel Good For Dry Skin?
This gel contains Hyaluronic acid, Butylene glycol and Glycerine, all of which helps to hydrate even dry skin.
But in reality, it barely moisturises my normal skin, I do not think this alone would be enough to hydrate dry skin or mature skin.
When the skin is dry, it may feel tight and stretchy. And, too much dryness can cause itching too.
Dry skin beauties can try their Ponds Light Moisturiser which has a creamier consistency.
PROS

Pleasant fragrance
Oil free and light weight
Non greasy finish and is non sticky too

CONS
Unhygienic tub packaging
Contains silicones, colour, fragrance, allergens and comedogenic ingredients that may trigger fungal acne.
Causes itching and redness on sensitive skin. 🙁
Would I Recommend Ponds Super Light Moisturising Gel?
Oily skin beauties can give this moisturiser a chance.
BUT, those with acne prone skin and sensitive skin should stay away from this product. At least do a patch test first before apply it all over your face.
