Mint Face Pack For Acne Prone Sensitive Skin

Although i have normal skin, it is behaving differently this rainy season. It is kind of combination skin now. I did change my vitamin c powder so it could be just ‘Purging’. This cooling mint face pack helps to treat infections and prevent worsening acne breakouts. Tomato helps control oiliness on my T- zone and tighten the skin while oats helps soothe inflamed sensitive skin. 🙂

Tulsi also has anti microbial properties and promotes wound healing too which results in breakouts drying out faster. My last post was about Tulsi face pack and hence i wont be going to write more on the holy basil here.

This face pack is perfect for summers as mint helps cool and soothe the skin all the while controlling oil production. It is suitable for all skin types and certainly helps lighten marks too.

Mint leaves

Recipe

  • Mint leaves – 10 to 15
  • Tulsi – 10 to 15
  • Tomato – half of 1
  • Oats – 1 Tablespoon
  • Curd – 1 Tablespoon

If you have oily skin, you may substitute oats with Besan (gram flour) or Multanimitti (Fullers earth) Powder along with honey for moisturisation.

You may crush mint and tulsi leaves, mix it along with oats and curd. This is the easiest way when you are away from home. Here, i simply added everything to a blender.

If you are using oats, this face pack can be used everyday. 🙂

If you use besan/Multanimitti, Limit using this mint face pack to 2-3 times a week.

Apply this face pack and leave it on for 20 minutes. The face pack is easy to apply without a mess

When washing off the face pack, your face may feel slimy because of oats in it. No need to worry. It washes of completely revealing a softer, clear matte skin.

Tomato For Hyper Pigmentation

Tomato contains vitamin c which helps lighten acne scars, dark spots and your complexion. They help promote collagen production which is essential in delaying the signs of ageing.

Various enzymes in tomato sloughs of dead skin cells revealing a smooth and brighter skin.

Rich in Vitamin B does help our skin in many ways than one. They are known to lighten hyper pigmentation and treats sun damage.

Lycopene in tomato’s helps protect our skin against the sun’s harmful UV rays.

Vitamin E does help hydrate the skin.
