Alcohol present in this essence may cause itching and dryness for dry skin/Sensitive skin.

Salicylic acid can cause irritations on sensitive skin, although my sensitive skin was totally fine with it.

Is Loreal Crystal Micro Essence A Toner?

When i read the international blogs, they said that the texture of this essence is thicker than water and is more like a serum. BUT, the one available here in India is pretty watery like a toner.

Can I Use Crystal Micro Essence As A Moisturiser?

It could work as a moisturiser for normal/oily skin but you need to follow up with a broad spectrum sunscreen.

This essence is pretty watery so it is not suitable as a stand alone moisturiser for dry/mature skin.

Difference Between ‘Revitalift Crystal Micro Essence’ And ‘Revitalift Micro Essence’

There are three main differences based on their,

BENEFITS – Revitalift Crystal micro essence gives smooth, brighter and radiant skin While Revitalift micro essence focuses mainly on improving skin elasticity, fine lines and wrinkles.

TEXTURE – The crystal version has a lighter consistency while the revitalift micro essence has a richer texture.

PENETRATION ABILITY – The crystal revitalift essence can penetrate up to 10 layers of skin as the molecules are super tiny.

My Experience

This essence is transparent just like all the other serum/essence in the market. It is quite watery so it has a runny consistency.

The dispenser is not one of my favourites as i am used to the pump type bottles and droppers.

Loreal crystal micro essence does get absorbed easily and is non sticky. My hands do feel sticky but i did not feel the stickiness on my face.

The fragrance is really mild and pleasant.

The scent does not linger and fades away within minutes.

RESULTS

The essence feels gentle on my skin.

It does smoothen out the bumps/irritated skin on my face and makes it appear calm. Rather than brightening my face, this essence made my skin visibly smoother.

Salicylic acid is especially beneficial to those with oily, acne prone skin.

It does help remove the dead skin cells(Chemical exfoliation), promote healing and prevents pimples.

Adenosine helps keep your skin look young and youthful by preventing the formation of fine lines and wrinkles.

Coming to its effects, this essence does take its own sweet time to show results. You have to wait for about 25 days to see visible changes in skin texture and tone. At least that was the case for me. BUT, it certainly works.

This essence did not have any effect on skin pigmentation and it does not claim to reduce pigmentation.

Have DRY SKIN?

Loreal Essence certainly does not cause breakouts or irritations BUT, as it contains alcohol and salicylic acid, it may cause itching on dry skin.

Use a hydrating toner before applying the serum.

Follow up with a good moisturiser and use sunscreen religiously.

Will It Suit Sensitive Skin?

This serum contains fragrance so do a patch test before applying it on your face.

• Does not show results in 7 days like it claims
• Contains alcohol
• Not suitable for dry skin as it may cause dryness and itching because of the alcohol present.
• May not suit extremely sensitive skin because of salicylic acid.

For dry/sensitive skin, Do a patch test first-  Look out for symptoms like itching and redness.

Do I Recommend L’Oréal crystal Micro Essence?

Yes, but only for oily skin.

I still prefer the Klairs Toner over this though.
