Bioderma Micellar Water Review

Bioderma micellar water review

Welcome back to my blog, Today I am back with the Bioderma micellar water review for you guys. Micellar water is a gentle cleansing solution with small particles in it that helps bind to makeup, oil and dirt and removes them efficiently without the need for rubbing the skin. This is my first micellar water. I received a tiny 10ml bottle of the Bioderma micellar water as a complimentary gift from Myntra after which I went ahead and bought the bigger version of it.

I have been using the Bioderma Atoderm Intensive Baume moisturiser to soothe my irritated skin and moisturize dry patches, especially during the cold winters. This product has been a personal favourite of mine for years.

It respects the skin’s natural balance with a pH of around 5.5, soothes, and prevents inflammation. PACKAGING

The Bioderma micellar water comes in a convenient bottle packaging. It does come in travel size packaging too.

FRAGRANCE

This product does not contain artificial fragrance. It is especially made for sensitive skin people in mind.

CONSISTENCY

The Bioderma micellar water has a watery consistency.

HOW TO USE

Soak a cotton pad with micellar water.

Place it over your eye makeup for 30 seconds and gently wipe. This should have removed 99% of your makeup including your glitter eyeshadow. Other than for eye makeup, you do not have to keep the micellar water for 30 seconds.

Wipe the rest of your face and lips.

You do not have to rinse your face afterwards but I do recommend double cleansing to thoroughly cleanse your skin.

REVIEW

Skin Type – Normal sensitive

I follow the double cleanse technique. Immediately after using an oil cleanser, I apply this micellar water to wipe away any remaining makeup residue. This method does efficiently remove makeup and sunscreen in the evening.

I apply a few drops on a q-tip to easily remove waterproof kajal and wipe with a cotton pad, Doing so leaves the lashes completely clean. It is always better to double cleanse before following up with the rest of your routine, even though the brand says otherwise.

I choose micellar water based on its gentle nature. It does not irritate my eyes during makeup removal or cause a stinging sensation on my skin. Bioderma micellar water is so gentle on the skin that my skin did not have any adverse reaction to it. Rubbing usually leaves my skin red and sore which is why I never liked using waterproof makeup or sunscreen. I never had to do multiple swipes with this makeup remover so it is perfect for my sensitive skin.

This is a no-rinse product which makes it easy to use while travelling or even in the gym to get rid of impurities and freshen up the skin.
