How To Add ACV For Different Skin Type
Oily Skin – Add ACV to green tea in the ratio 1:1 that is, in equal parts. For half cup of green tea, add the exact amount of apple cider.
Normal Skin – For one cup of green tea, add little bit more than 1/2 cup and less than 3/4 cup of ACV.
Sensitive skin – For 4 parts of green tea, add 1 part of ACV following the 4:1 ratio. For 1 cup of green tea, add 1/4 cup of green tea.
Best choices Of Essential oil
I used carrot seed essential oil for this recipe. I chose this essential as it has anti ageing benefits as well as an spf of 35-40.
You may add tea tree essential oil or even lavender which ever suits your skin type.
Normal to Sensitive Skin
Lavender essential oil, Chamomile essential oil
Oily acne prone skin
Helichrysum, Lemon grass, Peppermint, Tea tree essential oil
Dry/Mature skin
Carrot seed essential oil, Rose, Rose hip, Frankincense oil
Dry skin
Sandalwood and lavender essential oil
If you are not sure which essential oil to go for, choose calming oils like chamomile or lavender.
How To Make Homemade Toner?
Leave a bag of green tea in the hot water.
After the green tea cools down completely, Measure one tablespoon of honey or glycerine and add it to the green tea. Mix thoroughly until it is mixed completely.
Skip glycerine if the climate is hot and the air is dry. This is important.
Now add ACV to it.
To complete this diy green tea toner, add 10 drops of your favourite essential oil. Most people go for tea tree oil as it is especially good for oily and acne prone skin.
Here i have used 10 drops of carrot seed essential oil. Just whisk everything together and transfer it to a spray bottle.

CONS
I felt that this homemade toner does not pull out all impurities when compared to the store bought toner. However, it is hydrating and nourishing. So i use it with double cleansing method to thoroughly clean my skin.
As i am adding 1/4 cup apple cider, the toner does not smell bad at all but if you are adding in a 1:1 ratio, the smell might be overpowering.
