The brand website does say that their rosemary oil is extracted from the fresh flowering tops by steam distillation. Here I am sharing my experience after using this oil for more than 6 months. Constant traveling, a very stressful season, and exposure to hard water made my hair dry and frizzy, particularly the ends, making it look lifeless. Also, I experienced hair fall as another adverse effect of the stressful past couple of months. I bought this oil on a whim and had serious doubts that it would be helpful at all. Read on to know whether rosemary essential oil is as beneficial as they say.
HOW TO USE ROSEMARY OIL
If you are new to rosemary essential oil, You need to start slow until your scalp gets used to it. Why? Rosemary oil is a strong and potent oil that can cause hair fall if not introduced slowly.
Start by adding a few drops of rosemary oil directly into your regular shampoo. Just open your shampoo, add 8-10 drops of rosemary oil, close it tightly, shake well, and use it as usual when washing your hair. After a couple of weeks of doing this, You can dilute 3-4 drops of the oil in a tablespoon of carrier oil like coconut oil, almond oil, or olive oil and use it twice a week.

FRAGRANCE
It has a strong natural medicinal scent similar to the fresh herb and I am very pleased with the scent. This oil is pure and free from artificial fragrance.
REVIEW
To remove hard water buildup, I purchased Pantene Lively Clean clarifying shampoo and a Dove hair mask to hopefully revive it. Then I realized my hair needed an extra boost of moisture for proper repair and nourishment. I decided to try oiling again since I have had good results in the past. This time with a new mix, using 4 drops of rosemary oil combined with castor and coconut oil. It has been 6 months since I started using this mixture.
After using it, my hair feels soft and manageable, and I appreciate that the scent does not linger. It took more than a couple of uses to control hair fall but it eventually did stop hair fall. I love the freshness and how it makes my hair and scalp feel. Oiling my hair has calmed me down and I feel pretty relaxed without any negative effects. Six months later, my hair looks healthy and shiny with a lot of baby hair.
I am pretty satisfied with the quality of Deve Herbes rosemary oil and its results.

I certainly recommend the Deve Herbes Rosemary Essential oil if you are facing hair loss and thinning of the hair. If balding runs in the family, it is better to start prevention treatments early in life to get the most out of it. The earlier, the better.
