biotique lip balm

This review is about my mother’s favourite lip balm from Biotique. I have been a fan of maybelline baby lips for as long as i can remember. After seeing my mom use this lip balm, i too decided to give a try. This biotique lip balm is easily available on the shopping sites and can be bought on offer price.

DESCRIPTION

This depigmentation lip balm visibly lightens dark lips and definitely works to make them look healthy and supple.

Fruit has been the “juice of health and vitality” since the beginning of time, rich in essential vitamins, nutrients and natural skin brighteners.

My Experience

Biotique lip balm comes in an outdated tub packaging. But, it has more product compared to the chap sticks. It has 12 gram of product compared to 3-4 grams per chap stick.:) The price is less when compared to its counterparts in the market.

The lip balm is of perfect consistency that is, neither too thick nor thin. It is super easy to take the product out with your fingers.

This Biotique bio fruit whitening lip balm has a nice smell to it which does not linger for long. It does not irritate my sensitive nose. It did not cause headaches which is the case when i use products that have strong fragrance.

The lip balm certainly adds a bit of colour to my lips. The colour does fade away without leaving behind a stain.

It helps moisturise my lips for about 3-4 hours.

The lip balm does not feel uncomfortable as you do not feel it on your lips unlike lip balms like Vaseline. You can apply it and totally forget about it.

Biotique lip balm did not aggravate chapped lip condition or cause peeling. In my case, Lip balms from Lotus herbals usually increase lip peeling and make my chapped lips look worse.

The negative part about this lip balm is that it does not contain sunscreen spf factor at all. It certainly does not protect your lips against the harmful rays of the sun. This might lead to pigmentation and dark lips. Being a lip lightening product, having an spf of 15 should have been a bonus.

I would suggest using this lip balm under another lip product that has spf. OR, use it at night and let it work in moisturising and lightening the lips.

I did not see any lip lightening effects after using this lip balm. I haven’t used this lip balm for that long to see lightening effects.

  • Moisturises for 3-4 hours

  • Heals chapped lips
  • Does not feel heavy or uncomfortable on the lips
  • Less chemicals
  • Not tested on animals

  • Contains 12 gram of product. (Chap stick contains 3-4 grams)

Cons

  • Tub Packaging
  • No spf hence does not protect from the UV rays of the sun.
