How To Use

Apply generously and evenly 15 minutes before sun exposure.

Reapply,

• After 80 minutes of swimming or sweating

My Experience

• Skin Type- Normal Sensitive
• Mom’s skin type- Oily

Mom has been using this sunscreen from aveeno for quite some time. She did complain about her skin being oily and having to apply compact to counter it. So when she visited me for Diwali, She gave this to me to try. Unfortunately for her, It is mine now. 🙂 Although i did gave her my aveeno mineral sunscreen.

The consistency is lotion like and hence it is easier to massage it in especially on my sensitive skin. This does get absorbed pretty easily. I absolutely love this type of consistency. It is much lighter and easier to massage than the usual gel sunscreen.

It did not cause breakouts on both of our skin There aren’t any acne triggering ingredients in it. 

Aveeno protect plus hydrate sunscreen does not irritate my sensitive skin. But, when i first applied it there was a burning sensation on my upper lip area 🙁 but it went away in a minute or two. There was no redness either. Now a days i do not have any problems when applying this. I do not know what went wrong the first time.

Aveeno sunscreen does make my skin look like a grease ball but a little bit of compact powder does work for me. It did not feel uncomfortable or heavy on my skin. It is certainly a light weight sunscreen. You really can apply this sunscreen and forget about it. 🙂

From the ingredient analysis above, you can see that this sunscreen is best suited for dry skin.

There is no white cast left after applying aveeno hydrate and protect sunscreen which is another great feature of it.

Does It Prevent Sun Tan?

Yes, it does. It works beautifully in protecting my skin from UV rays of the sun.

I did go out shopping with mom in the mid noon during Diwali week and aveeno sunscreen did its job well. I am pretty happy with its performance.

I have read people with hormonal acne swear by this. But i cannot comment on this. I personally do not think this would cause breakout as there are no comedogenic ingredients in this sunscreen as per the ingredient analysis.
