The Ordinary Caffeine Solution Review

The ordinary caffeine solution review

The Ordinary Caffeine Solution Review – With long work hours spent staring at computer monitors and a stressful lifestyle, coupled with unhealthy habits and lack of sleep, it’s no surprise that dark circles are a common issue for many people today. While the causes of dark circles can be numerous, including genetics, anaemia, dehydration, vitamin deficiency, and fatigue, identifying the exact reason behind them can be difficult. There is only so much we can do about it externally by means of eye creams and serums. In this review, I will be sharing my personal experience with The Ordinary Caffeine Solution.

PRODUCT DETAILS

Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG is a water-based serum that reduces the look of puffiness and dark circles in the eye contour. The formula works by combining a high concentration of caffeine with a highly-purified epigallocatechin gallatyl glucoside (EGCG).

INGREDIENTS

The skincare product includes a variety of beneficial ingredients that serve different purposes.

Anti-oxidants are ingredients that protect the skin against environmental stressors like pollution and UV rays. The product contains several anti-oxidants, including caffeine, Epigallocatechin Gallatyl Glucoside, Gallyl Glucoside, and Propyl Gallate. These ingredients work to neutralize free radicals, which are unstable molecules that can damage skin cells and contribute to premature aging.

An exfoliant is a skincare ingredient that helps to remove dead skin cells, unclog pores, and promote cell turnover. The product’s exfoliating agent is Lactic Acid, which is an alpha-hydroxy acid (AHA) that gently exfoliates the skin’s surface.

Skin-brightening ingredients are used to even out skin tone and reduce the appearance of dark spots or hyperpigmentation. The product contains Glycine Soja (Soybean) Seed Extract, which has been shown to have skin-brightening properties.

Skin-identical ingredients are substances that occur naturally in the skin and help to maintain its barrier function. The product includes two skin-identical ingredients: Glycerin and Hyaluronic Acid. Glycerin is a humectant that attracts and retains moisture in the skin, while Hyaluronic Acid is a powerful hydrator that can hold up to 1000 times its weight in water.

Soothing ingredients help to calm and comfort the skin, reducing redness and irritation. The product includes Epigallocatechin Gallatyl Glucoside, Gallyl Glucoside, and Glycine Soja (Soybean) Seed Extract, all of which have been shown to have soothing properties.

MY EXPERIENCE

I’ve got dark circles that make me look like I haven’t slept since the invention of the wheel. I tried using retinol to stimulate collagen, but apparently, my face is made of stone because I saw no difference even after long-term use. So I turned to The Ordinary Caffeine Solution – but I was skeptical because all the reviews on their website were so negative, it was like a roast fest. But hey, desperate times call for desperate measures, am I right?

Turns out, this caffeine serum is the real deal. It’s got a lightweight, runny consistency, And a little goes a long way, so it lasts longer.

The Ordinary Caffeine Solution produces a warming sensation upon application, which intensifies as I gently massage it in with my ring finger. I’ve got sensitive skin that turns dark and irritated at the drop of a hat, this feeling can be a bit nerve-wracking. However, I was relieved to find that the serum did not cause any further problems, so that’s a win in my book! After 2-3 minutes, I either apply my Juicy Chemistry roll-on or slather on my moisturizer.

The only downside is that the serum leaves a tacky feeling on my skin, I’m willing to endure it as long as it helps reduce my dark circles. Since it contains lactic acid, it’s best to use it at night only. And of course, don’t forget to apply and reapply sunscreen as needed to protect your skin.

RESULTS

I did not see any visible results when I used the The Ordinary Caffeine Solution by itself but introducing the vitamin C 23% was a game changer for me. Oh boy, I was not expecting that at all. The combination of using The Ordinary’s vitamin C and caffeine solution has made a big difference in my skin. My dark circles look lighter and the fine lines are less noticeable.

I’ve also been using retinol cream every other day, sleeping on time but not really early, and gaining some healthy weight. I did a liver and gall bladder cleanse (Andreas Morris) and have been practicing intermittent fasting and bedtime breathing meditation. All of these lifestyle changes have helped improve my skin and make it look healthier.

That all for today’s The Ordinary Caffeine Solution review, it is now  time to summarize.

PROS

Light weight
Budget friendly
Did not irritate my sensitive skin
Gets absorbed in a minute

CONS

Warm feeling on application which I do not mind, but it is there.
