MY EXPERIENCE

Skin Type – Normal Sensitive

The sunscreen comes in a pump bottle packaging which may lead to product wastage, assuming i cant break open the bottle decently. Although the consistency of the sunscreen is creamy, it spreads quite easily But, it does take a minute or two to blend into the skin completely. In summer season, It settles to a non sticky dewy finish on my normal skin. As i mentioned earlier, there is absolutely no white cast so it is most certainly suitable for every skin tone.👍

When the sunscreen touches the areas that are peeling it does sting/burn a little but it went away quickly. I did not notice any redness or irritation post application.

DOES IT PILL?

Most negative reviews i read did say that the sunscreen pills BUT, i did not notice any pilling/ball up at all.🤔I think humidity and the moisturiser you are using underneath may have something to do with this. I will post my winter update and see how that goes.

REAPPLICATION?

If your skin barrier is compromised, then it would be better to go for a sunscreen stick rather than using this to reapply.

If you are using Retinol/Chemical peels(AHA/BHA), you may end up with the same experience as mine. The sunscreen feels heavy on reapplication and the peeling areas feel tight/stretchy, even more so when I sweat. I checked in the mirror but, there wasn’t any pilling and also, it did not accentuate the peeling areas either.

NEGATIVE POINTS

I noticed that there is AVOBENZONE as a UV filter in the ingredient list.  Avobenzone is highly unstable and loses 36% of its efficiency in just one hour of sun exposure. It cause lot of free radical damage which accelerates ageing, while its stabiliser Octocrylene disrupts our hormone system.

The Be minimalist sunscreen is not water/sweat resistant so, It is best suited for indoor use, air conditioned environment or the winter season.

UPDATE ON 20/10/2022

The packaging has been changed from pump bottle to tube which is good but, the tube is big and can hold 150ml product so it has lot of air inside. Just why would they do that?

CONS

Contains AVOBENZONE which degrades quickly when exposed to the sun causing premature signs of ageing and it is also a hormone disruptor. Why would they use this UV filter???
Not water or sweatproof
Takes 2 minutes to blend in completely
Not suitable for pregnant and breastfeeding women as it contains Vit A(Retinol) !!!😥

REPURCHASE?

No

I did buy this twice after which I noticed Avobenzone as its ingredient so I wont be repurchasing this in the future. It is not good for the body in the long term.
