IS OXYBENZONE SAFE?
Although these sunscreens may be holy grail products to many, some of them contain the ingredient OXYBENZONE.
The chemical UV filter Oxybenzone does,
- Gets absorbed in to the blood stream
- Disrupt the hormones(estrogen and progesterone)
- May cause skin irritations
- Hormonal skin darkening
- Fertility related problems
- Not to be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding !!!
IS BENZOPHENONE-3 SAFE?
Studies show that benzophenone-3
- Cause mammary gland tumours
- Disrupt the endocrine system
- Affects the hormone estrogen
If possible, skip the ones with shady ingredients no matter how hyped the product is. Keep your health in mind.
Switch to other friendly products that can be used for a long time without any side effects.

- Octyl methoxycinnamate or ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate or octinoxate
