Being an apple cider vinegar user for the past 9 years, i cannot stop recommending this to others. Apple cider vinegar benefits our skin, hair and overall health. We even include it in our hair care routine which not only helps save money, but also keeps the hair and scalp healthy.
Apple cider vinegar only contains about 3 calories per tablespoon which is very low.
Remember to start in low doses like, one teaspoon in a glass of water daily. Work from there till you reach 2 tablespoons day depending on how your body tolerates it.
- Never take more than 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar a day.
Always dilute apple cider before drinking it or using it for skin care and hair care recipes. Rinse your mouth after drinking acv to prevent tooth enamel damage. Acidic drinks may erode the outer layer of the tooth and lead to sensitivity.

Apple cider vinegar is made from apples. First the sugar in the apple is turned in to alcohol by the fermentation process. The yeast and bacteria then helps ferment it again turning it from alcohol to acetic acid. This whole process takes about 2.5-3 weeks to complete. 🙂
It is super easy to prepare your own batch of apple cider vinegar. Just make sure to keep everything clean and use wooden spoon to mix everything together. This prevents molds and other bacteria from interfering the fermentation process.
The unfiltered apple cider vinegar’s muddy liquid part(Mother) that settles at the bottom has gut friendly bacteria, probiotics, enzymes, antioxidants, potassium, amino acids(Protein strands) which is healthy for our body.
If you are on medications for diabetes, check with your doctor before taking ACV.

Do not buy the below brand of acv as it is filtered and hence does not contain the ‘mother’. 🙁 This purchase was a disaster. Do not make the same mistake as me.
I usually buy braggs, healthvit or healthkart brand. I have tried the mixed variety too like, acv with lemon and honey and acv with honey. They all taste delicious. 🙂
I am using this as a hair conditioner.
