Open pores could be due to genetics, unhealthy skin care habits or even stress. You cannot get rid of it but you can minimise the appearance of open pores. They appear like tiny pits on the skin. Although they do not look appealing, Most of the time you can hide it with makeup. Here is an easy to make face pack for open pores.

I already wrote an article on the best store-bought Face Packs For Open Pores. So this time i thought to try a homemade face pack to minimise pore size.

This face pack has ingredients that help pull out excess sebum and impurities. It also helps lighten marks, dark spots and scars. It also contains antioxidants, hydroxy acids, vitamins and minerals that help exfoliate and nourish the skin.

Recipe

  • Aloe Vera Gel- 1 teaspoon
  • Raw Milk – 1 Tablespoon
  • Multani mitti(Fuller’s earth)/Oatmeal –  2 table spoon
  • Lemon juice/Tomato juice – 1 Tablespoon

Oats and tomato are alternatives suitable for sensitive skin.

Leave the face pack on for 20 minutes and then rinse it off.

You may use this face pack three times a week. Super oily skin beauties may use this on alternate days.

If you are using oats and tomato juice for this face pack like me then, you may use this 3-4 times a week.

Follow up with a good moisturiser as clay face packs tend to dry your skin.

Add 2 tablespoon of milk if you are using oats

How To

Take two tablespoon of Multani mitti (Fuller’s earth) or oats in a bowl.

You can use any kind of clay that suits your skin too.

Clay is a perfect face pack ingredient for oily skin and acne prone skin. It helps cleanse the skin by pulling out impurities like dirt, oil, and microbes. It does exfoliate dead skin cells and helps to control excess oil production.

Clogged pores will make the pores look bigger while also leading to blackheads and acne.

Now add raw milk

Raw milk is a natural cleanser and a good moisturiser. It aids in exfoliating dead skin.

Raw milk helps lighten sun tan and blemishes to a certain degree. It also works on irritated or inflamed skin.

Time to add Aloe Vera gel.

I have already mentioned How To Make homemade Aloe Vera gel

There is no need to introduce this ingredient. Aloe Vera does contain antioxidants and vitamins that help treat acne, inflammation, minimise pores, delay the signs of ageing.

It does prevent bacterial infection and speeds up the healing process.

Tomato juice works well as an astringent. 🙂 It also helps tighten pores, lighten blemishes, soothe inflamed skin and prevent premature signs of ageing like fine lines.
