TUMERIC BALLS

  • Turmeric powder – 2 Teaspoon
  • Peanuts – 1/2 cup
  • Almonds -1/2 cup
  • Chia seeds/Sesame seeds – 1 Tablespoon
  • Black pepper – 1/4 teaspoon
  • Jaggery Powder or Soaked Dates – 1/2 cup or 10-12 dates or as needed
  • Ghee – 1 Tablespoon

INSTRUCTIONS

The first step is to roast the peanuts and almonds in a pan until they turn golden brown. Then, grind them into a fine powder using a food processor or blender. Add the turmeric powder, chia seeds or sesame seeds, and black pepper to the powder and mix well.

In a separate pan, heat the ghee and add jaggery powder or soaked dates to it, stirring until it melts and forms a thick syrup. Add the nut and spice mixture to the syrup and mix until it forms a sticky dough. Shape the mixture into small balls using your hands and let them cool before serving.

Neem Powder – 1 Teaspoon
Turmeric Powder – 1 Teaspoon
Water – As needed to knead

In a mixing bowl, add neem powder and turmeric powder. Mix well until all the ingredients are combined. If the mixture is too dry to form into balls, add a few drops of water until you get a dough-like consistency.

Take small portions of the mixture and roll them into small balls. If the balls are too sticky, dust your hands with some turmeric powder. Place the balls on a plate or a tray lined with parchment paper. Let the balls rest for 10-15 minutes so that they set and harden.

Store the neem turmeric balls in an airtight container for up to a week. Enjoy 1-2 balls along with honey water on empty stomach every day for their health benefits.
