Ingredient Analysis
The ingredient list is not mentioned anywhere on the box or tube. I had to check their website for the full list of ingredients.
Fungal Acne Trigger- Cetyl Palmitate, PEG-100 Stearate
Contains Allergens
More than 4-5 ingredients are allergens. 🙁 So those with sensitive skin should be extra careful while using this.
My Experience
Skin Type – Normal Sensitive
I first heard about Olay Natural White Light Instant Glowing Fairness Cream when i mom’s friend used it during a stay over at her place. She tried it and liked the effect it gave. But that was 4 years ago. I do not like fairness creams and hence i gave this cream a skip.
Recently i saw this on sale and without checking its ingredients i went ahead and bought it. I rarely do that. And i am regretting my purchase now. Why the hell did i do that? Now on to the Olay Fairness Cream Review.
This face cream is really light and not thick/greasy. But it does not blend easily. It leaves white patches here and there which does not get absorbed at all. When i try to massage the area a bit more, it hurts my sensitive skin. It feels uncomfortable to do that. 🙁
The finish is a perfect matter on my normal skin but let me be clear one thing, it does not make my skin even toned.
Olay fairness cream is just like any other fairness creams that i have used during my college days. It makes your face look weirdly white.
What Is The Worst Part Of Using Olay Fairness Cream?
The worst part of this fairness cream is that after an two hours or so, my skin appears dark. The white cast or fake brightness is gone completely but, rather than settling to a natural skin tone it makes the skin look dull and a bit tanned.
It may suit fair skin beauties and those with near perfect skin better though.
Do not depend on this fairness cream for sunscreen protection. Because that claim is not trustworthy. 🙁
This is just a below average product when compared to other products in this price range. I am actually scared of using this for long term. And so, i am using this at home to get rid of it as fast as possible.

Will I Recommend Olay Fairness Cream?
No, You have better choices within the same price range. Olay Fairness Cream has more questionable ingredients and long list of false claims. There are various BB cream’s that offer better shade selection, lesser chemicals, no parabens and deliver results. 🙂

My skin got permanent dark spots using this product..my faces becomes itchy and patchy after applying the product and really my sister’s face had swollen whenever she used this product! It’s harmful for sensitive skin.
Hi Shaan, Oh my gosh, So sorry to hear that. Hope you two have recovered. Cheaper products like fair&lovely and other fairness creams do have nasty ingredients and artificial fragrance in them that cause skin irritations. Better stick to a simple vitamin c, moisturiser, and sunscreen routine for healthy even toned skin. Also, BB creams or foundation might be a good for daily no makeup look.
